About the position
The Consular and Passport Manager is responsible for managing a small team in the delivery of consular, passports, and notarial services in the consular jurisdiction of the Australian Consulate-General in Los Angeles. The position will be required to work outside of normal working hours and travel outside of Los Angeles at short notice.
Remuneration package
Salary
USD $89,940 - $99,276
Please note that new starters generally commence at the base of the salary range for the position and work their way through the five salary pay points through annual performance based increments.
Performance Management
Locally engaged staff engaged in an ongoing or fixed term capacity are eligible to participate in the performance management system. Staff who are employed on 31 March, are preforming at the required levels, and have worked in the role for at least 100 working days are eligible to receive a salary advancement of one increment OR a bonus of two percent if at the top of their level.

Additional Information
This position requires a probity check to be completed. Employment in the advertised position is dependent on the employee having or acquiring a valid DFAT probity check. Probity checks can take some time to process, and employment cannot be commenced until an appropriate check is confirmed. There is no guarantee that the successful candidate for the position will be successful in obtaining a probity check. The inability to obtain a probity check prevents that applicant from being employed and loss of a probity check at any time will lead to termination of employment.
