This is a Los Angeles, Chatsworth based position, you must be in Los Angeles or willing to move to Chatsworth, Los Angeles.

Job Overview:  We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Technical Designer to join the JLUXLABEL team. In this role, you will work closely with the design and production teams to ensure the accurate translation of concepts into high-quality garments with the optimal fit.

• Collaborate closely with the Design and Production teams to ensure accurate execution of all designs.
• Manage all technical requirements of the garment from product development to production.
• Organize time to spec incoming samples and be prepared for weekly fittings.
• Fit on live model, record fit notes to translate corrections into clear efficient fit comments.
• Convey fit and construction revisions to domestic and overseas vendors, providing illustrated sketches for clear and easy interpretation of corrections.
• Execute production specs with grading
• Relay all critical information impacting in-house dates to all relevant teams.
• Able to assemble tech packs with detailed sketches, illustrations & construction detailed through the usage of a PLM software system.
• Ensure garments are at high quality and confirm to brand aesthetic
• Have a thorough understanding of product engineering, development, and construction inside and out for intricate styles
• Have vast knowledge of fabric technology and characteristics for knits/wovens/bias cuts
• Identify and proactively engage with vendors/factories when issues arise with recommendations for viable options and solution

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in women wear
• B.A./B.S related to technical design
• Computer knowledge in , Adobe illustrator, Excel, Outlook, CAD
• Experience in WFX, PLM a plus
• Ability to prioritize workload daily, make quick decisions to meet strict deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through of communication and execution of projects.
• Well-organized with a strong sense of urgency.
• Works well with all teams professionally and with integrity
