AI/ML Full Stack Developer

DoD/Army - Onsite at Fort Belvoir

190k-200k/year

Marathon TS is seeking an experienced AI/ML full-stack developer to support our client. This role is responsible for building and maintaining the front-end and back-end systems that bring AI models to life through intuitive, responsive applications.

The developer will design scalable APIs, integrate AI outputs, and ensure end-users can interact seamlessly with machine learning-driven tools in a secure and performant environment.

This is a hands-on role that requires a blend of software engineering expertise, familiarity with AI/ML systems, and a user-focused mindset. The ideal candidate is capable of owning the full stack and collaborating across technical disciplines to deliver polished, mission-focused applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop front-end and back-end components that integrate machine learning models into user-facing applications
• Build and maintain scalable APIs to enable interaction with deployed AI models
• Design and implement user interfaces that clearly present analytics and AI outputs
• Ensure system scalability, security, and reliability in production environments
• Collaborate with the Data Scientist to interpret model behavior and integrate outputs into application logic
• Work with the Data Engineer to access required datasets and ensure real-time data flow through APIs
• Coordinate with the AI/ML Engineer to connect backend systems with deployed models and infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in full-stack development, preferably with experience supporting AI/ML applications
• Proficiency in modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) and backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Flask, FastAPI)
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and containerized deployments
• Understanding of integrating machine learning outputs into application logic and UI components

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or federal clients
• Familiarity with deploying applications in secure or classified environments
• Experience with data visualization libraries and frameworks for presenting analytics or AI-generated insights
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and role-based access control in secure systems
