Beacon Hill's client, a national class action and complex litigation law firm, is seeking a temp or temp to hire Litigation Associate Attorney in their Berkeley, CA office. Role Summary

• Title: Litigation Associate Attorney
• Location: Berkeley, CA 94710 (Hybrid -3 days onsite, 2 days remote; awaiting confirmation of specific days)
• Practice Area: Class Action / Complex Litigation (plaintiff-side)
• Compensation: Temp - $55-$87/hour, depending on experience / Perm - $115,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience
• Benefits if converted: Medical, dental, vision, HSA, 401K, LTD/STD, and more

Core Responsibilities

• Investigate and vet potential new cases
• Review, summarize, and analyze evidence and documents
• Conduct legal research on facts and regulations for new cases
• Handle all phases of civil discovery (drafting, meet-and-confers, depositions)
• Draft briefs, memoranda, and other legal filings
• Prepare for hearings, trials, and depositions
• Work with and prepare expert witnesses

Qualifications

• Strong academic and employment credentials (federal clerkship experience a plus)
• 2+ years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side or complex litigation preferred)
• Excellent drafting, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Able to manage high-volume, fast-paced litigation work
• Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in CA
