JOB PURPOSE

My client is an innovative and fast-growing contract manufacturer known for creating high-performance cosmetic and personal care products. The Quality Control Lab Technician will support formulation, testing, and sample evaluation activities within a personal care and cosmetics laboratory environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in preparing lab-scale trials for skincare, haircare, and other personal care formulations
• Conduct testing on incoming raw materials and in-process/manufactured product samples
• Maintain accurate records in lab notebooks and relevant documentation systems
• Perform routine evaluations such as pH, viscosity, color matching, and sensory assessments
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of lab instruments and workspace
• Provide support to R&D scientists in preparing and analyzing lab samples
• Adhere to established safety protocols, hygiene practices, and cGMP standards
• Carry out additional lab duties as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree and 2+ years of industry experience in a lab setting (cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or related)
• Educational background in chemistry, biology, or a similar scientific field
• Demonstrated interest in product development for cosmetics or personal care
• Comfortable working with raw materials and laboratory equipment
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow protocols
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Prior lab or internship experience is helpful but not mandatory
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
