Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Senior Estimator for a full-time, on-site position based in Millstone, NJ. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical service projects, evaluating project requirements, coordinating with various teams, and analyzing labor, materials, and time needed for project completion. This individual will collaborate with project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure that all estimates align with project goals and deliverables. Additionally, they will contribute to developing cost-effective strategies, creating detailed bid proposals, and participating in contract negotiations.
Qualifications
Experience in cost estimation, project analysis, and resource planning within the mechanical services or construction industry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Strong knowledge of estimating software, spreadsheet tools, and general financial analysis methodologies.
Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
Previous experience with mechanical services such as plumbing, HVAC systems, and specialized equipment is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in cost estimation roles.
