Job Description

Senior Merchandiser -Fulltime Contract in house

We are looking for an experienced and strategic merchandising professional to join our team and support international growth initiatives, focusing primarily on the Asian markets. This role requires a deep understanding of product lines, close collaboration with joint venture partners, and the ability to analyze business performance to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in assigned product categories and act as the main merchandising liaison for international joint ventures.
  • Manage product assortments and inventory levels for multiple countries within the Asia region across various sales channels.
  • Lead merchandising efforts for footwear categories, driving growth and improving operational processes within joint venture teams.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and optimize reorder strategies.
  • Plan seasonal product assortments using detailed forecasting and category management.
  • Communicate product availability, marketing initiatives, and sales trends to regional partners through presentations, emails, and virtual meetings.
  • Adapt corporate merchandising strategies to meet the specific needs of international markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Planning, and Sample Operations to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales and inventory reports, delivering insights to both internal teams and external partners.
  • Participate in virtual and in-person international product conferences and maintain strong working relationships with global merchandising counterparts.

Qualifications

  • 6yrs of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with proficiency in data analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to varied audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience working with international markets, especially in Asia, is highly desirable.
  • Sales experience and familiarity with product trends are a plus.
  • Comfortable with virtual communications, phone contacts, and conducting presentations remotely.

Additional Details-

This freelance position requires working onsite full-time Monday through Friday in the Southbay area

Rate: $40-45/hr
