Hours : 40hrs / week, First shift, 7AM - 3:30PM

1 year contract, extension possible not guaranteed

Pay rate: 34.13-44.89/hr

Work Location: Newport News, VA / Hampton Roads Metropolitan Area

Minimum Bachelor's/Associate's degree is required

Training Representative 3 (Human Resources)

Responsibilities

• Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel.
• Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
• Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
• Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.
• May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.
• May be responsible for development of e-learning programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field and 6 years; or Master's degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience.

Special Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Associates Degree with experience in drafting and/or ship construction or;
• Master’s Degree with 18 graduate credits in Communications, Engineering, History, Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology
• Experience teaching in both face to face and online environments
• Familiarity with instructional and course management technology as well as course design
